I?ve been thinking about love and relationships? for a while.? In this next set of blogs I will talk about:

* How the process of love works in the beginning of our relationships,

*? How we get side tracked in our relationships (fall out of love), and most ? ? ? ? importantly,

* We find (create) love in our relationships,

I often hear girlfriends and boyfriends, wives and husbands say I?ve ?fallen out of love with him / her? or ?I love him / her, but I?m not in love with him / her.? Many folks say this because they don?t understand about how love really works.? In the beginning we meet some one and there is something about them and we fall in love with them. We believe from movies, books, television that love is something you feel and that?s how it works;? we have that ?loving feeling?. In both my professional and personal experience I have found that love works very differently from what we have been taught.? There are three factors that influence us to connect with a person in the beginning of our relationship which I will cover next under the heading of ? How the Process of ?Love? works in the beginning of our relationships?.

?

How the Process of ?Love? works in the beginning of our relationships

?

Part one of this process is that in the beginning of a relationship we find someone who we are attracted to and that grows to a physical sexual connection; part two,?of this relationship is that there is a certain social pressure to be ?coupled? for people to be together in pairs; part three, is that we don?t want to feel isolated we want to feel connected to another person.? So these three forces come together and we fall in love with someone and become a couple (this refers to both serious relationships and marriages) it is important to realize that there is a big difference between starting a relationship and being in it for the long run.

The next blog will focus on the differences between relationships in the beginning and how they unfold over time,? and how closeness and love can deteriorate.
